If you want to win lots of great prizes and become a successful comper then here are a bunch of hints & tips for you to help increase your chances of winning.
The main thing to realise is that it really is a numbers game. The more free entry competitions you enter the more chance you have of winning more free prizes. But it also depends on how lucky you are and how much time you are willing to put into it. Most successful compers usually spend a few hours every day entering anything from 100-200 free competitions each day. Entering free competitions from websites, social media, magazines, businesses, TV, and radio stations.
If you’re serious about comping, then below are some hints & tips we strongly recommend. They will not only help improve your experience and chances of winning more competitions but will also help you to apply for as many free competitions as you can in the quickest, easiest, and safest possible way.
First things first, it is wise that you get antivirus software on your computer if you haven’t already. As unfortunately, some free online competitions out there can be a bit spammy sometimes. So it’s best to be safe rather than sorry and protect yourself from any hidden nasties just in case.
Avast does a good free version but alternatively, if you want to be 100% protected you might want to check out the below as they have some offers on at the moment.
We strongly recommend that you create an alternative email account just for entering free competitions. That way you won’t clog up your personal or professional emails with spam. Just remember to check that email account often to see if you’ve won any competitions. Also, some free competitions require you to reply back to them by email so you might want to check that regularly too to make sure so you don’t miss out on any great prizes. Also always check your spam folder regularly.
Some free competitions ask for your telephone number and unfortunately, this can lead to lots of unwanted telemarketing calls afterwards. So a way around this is to get an alternative SIM card just for competitions. If you are in the UK you can order a free SIM card below and get 5 pounds free credit when you activate with free delivery, so you enter as many free UK competitions and feel comfortable that you won’t receive unwanted phone calls on your main phone number. If you are from the United States then you can get a free SIM below with free delivery so you enter as many free US sweepstakes giveaways. If you are from Australia you can press the button below to get a SIM card sent to you with free delivery. It’s usually $2 but for a limited time it’s free so you enter as many free AU competitions.
That way you can enter more competitions and can avoid unwanted telemarketing calls. Just remember to check the voicemails regularly on that SIM to see if you’ve won any competitions! As you don’t want to miss out on actually getting the prizes!
Some free competitions are easier than others and some need more information. In order to fill in the required data to enter the free competitions we recommend you install something like Roboform, which is a great program that automatically fills forms and competitions out for you. You just fill in all your data once and then any form or competition you need to complete, it will automatically input the answers for you. That way you don’t have to enter every field of the competition every time you enter a new one as it does it automatically. So it saves a lot of time and a lot of energy and helps you complete competitions a lot more quickly.
Another tip is that the free competitions that ask for more info are usually the ones you have more chances of winning. As most people look for the quick and easy free entry competitions, as they don’t have the time to fill in so much information which means fewer people enter them, which gives you a much higher chance of winning.

Not only are they good for staying up to date with competitions, but they are also great for connecting with fellow compers. Having comping buddies can be really beneficial, as you can help each other find great free competitions. As they say, ‘two heads are better than one and you can also give each other tips and share winning stories which will help inspire you and keep you positive.
When entering social media (like and share) competitions make yourself really stand out by writing something really nice about the company or the prize in the comments and say why you want to win it. Even adding something funny in the comments will help your chances of getting noticed so you will have a higher chance of winning. Also, tag your friends in them and add colourful emojis. This way when the company has to pick a winner you will be an easy pick. It is also important to follow all of their instructions on how to enter as they can monitor who has liked, shared, and commented on their competition post so if you’ve missed a step you won’t be a contender for the prize.
Positive thinking. It’s proven that positive thinking really can help. So if you believe you are going to win you actually have more chance of winning. However, it’s also important not to get disheartened when you don’t win and just see it as a numbers game. For more information on this, you should have a look into affirmations, manifesting, the law of attraction and daily mantras to help boost your positivity. Not only are they good for helping with your chances of winning they can also help you with other areas of your life as well.
